Guest guest Posted July 25, 2004 Report Share Posted July 25, 2004 Thanks for your support a. I have spoken to Paoulo and she has prescribed a short term clobazam. I have given him just 5mg tonight (better than 10mg diazapam). I have upped his calories again today and he has had 3 seizures so far today. I hope I am on the right track - it is just a question of wait and see at the moment. Once everyone is back at work tomorrow I will be hot footing it on the phone and getting some tests done - most important bloods. I need EVERYTHING doing. Hopefully we will go from there. I just hope he has a better night. He is not running a temperature but is quite clammy - normally I would look at him being in excess ketosis with that but I know that he isn't. The only other reason for the clamminess that I can think of is him being in pain - after all those fits he probably is aching all over and the rectal valium has given him one hell of a headache. Sorry to hear that you have had a hellish time lately - I hope things calm down for you and continue to get better. Thoughts are with you too. Take Care. Emma.
