Guest guest
Hi! I couldn't find the brand Trimox in my book from Hopkins, but I did a web search and it looks like it is a type of amoxicillin. The only thing I could find in my book is a type of amox. called Augemntin. in a 250 mg tab it contains 15 mg of sodium starch glycolate. In 500 mg tab it contains 21 mg sodium startch glycolate. That is, according to my book, a carbohydrate. They both contain less that .1 kcal. Again, this is for Augemntin, so I don't know about Trimox specifically, but it is a brand of amox. I'm not sure I was much help! I'll try to do more research and let you know later today what I find out! Hope the princess if feeling better. His royal highness, , has an eye infection from sinusitis that he had for the past week, so I'm with you! Guest guest
, Our dietician gave us a list of meds. and their carb value. It lists Trimox capsules, 250mg. and Trimox capsules, 500mg as having 0 carbs. The Trimox liquid does have carbs (3.3g/5ml dose). Trimox is a " standard " prescription for ear infections. Unless she is allergic to penicillin, she should be fine. Of course, our kiddos seem to be more sensitive to drugs than the norm so I suppose we never know... be watchful for anything different, but don't worry. Hope this helps.
