Guest guest
Can anyone tell me why I would be having a second yeast infection so soon after getting over my last one, a couple of months ago? I've been SCD for almost 9 months. I've never been prone to yeast infections---I've only ever had one other(before these two consecutive ones while on the diet), many years ago. Any other women on the diet experience this? What would be the cause? Thank you, cathy
Guest guest
hello cathy! I've SYSTEMIC FUNGUS OVERGROWN..caused from many years of SEVERE underweight caused from CANDIDA & CHRONIC dysbiosis, caused me by a vegetarian diet HIGH in DAIRY & GRAINS, even if WHOLE GRAINS... FOLLOWING SCD I 've FINALLY GAINED MANY KG ( from 34,5 to 41,5 kg x 1,66m !!!) but I'm continuing to BE DISTURBED BY YEAST.... I'm SEARCHING x the causes... Generally x YEAST & FUNGUS ALL THE SIMPLY SUGARS ARE FORBIDDEN...and in all the ANTI-YEAST DIET FRUITS is STOPPED and only few WHOLE GRAINS (rice, quinoa, amaranth, millet) are allowed..in small quantity...so, not simply but COMPLEX carbs.... I confess that I don't know what the right answer...SCD is surely the diet more different from all the other diets...I don't understand if MY PERSISTENT BLOATING and YEAST RESISTENCE IS CAUSED from SIMPLY SUGARS ( fruits) or it is only a PROBLEM of TIME....X HEALING WE NEED TIME... I'm on SCD from this January 2005... ciao ciao.. > >Reply-To: pecanbread >To: pecanbread >Subject: yeast infections >Date: Sun, 22 May 2005 15:54:39 -0000 > >Can anyone tell me why I would be having a second yeast infection so >soon after getting over my last one, a couple of months ago? Guest guest
Hi Cathy, I am sorry to hear about this. Sometimes during the first year of SCD,there are flares. These setbacks can occur 3,6 or 9 months after starting SCD. You need to go to the intro diet and use medication to get over the flare. Guest guest
Hi Noe, I am so glad that you are gaining weight!!! That is a sign that you are healing. You are right, healing is a slow process. Since your yeast is so extreme, why don't you eat fruits like avocadoes and olives. Those fruits are so healthy! Have you tried any natural anti-fungals like oil of oregano or garlic or cranberry? How about the SCD yogurt, that is a wonderful anti-fungal. Guest guest
Hi Mimi! Yes, I've tried some natural anti-fungals ( garlic x example) I can't eat DAIRY ...I'm allergic....So I'm eating NUTS (almond, walnut, macadamia) ..But I don't undersatnd if my persistent bloating is caused by SIMPLY SUGARS... I need some CARBS x my daily menu... I can't eat only fats and proteins! ( My liver is too sufferent x this!).. and only vegetables are too low in calories.. IS GRASS-GRAIN or MANNA ( SPROUTED GRAINS) LEGAL? Guest guest
Hi , When you write allergic do you mean allergic (anaphylactic type reaction) or sensitive (bloating diarrhea , constipation etc.)? If it is more of a sensitivity perhaps it is lactose in milk or the type of milk protein. Many of the kids here do very well with goat milk yogurt over cow yogurt because the goat milk has much smaller mikk proteins.
