Guest guest
Are you more likely to become intolerant to rice milk if you use it exclusively that cows milk used exclusively. My grandson is allergic to tree nuts so almond or hazelnut are out of the question. He is not on the GFCF Diet. We thought he might be having a problem with absorption because loose stools started after breastfeeding was stopped at around 18 months. We are giving acidophilus daily and he seems fine now as far as that goes and turning 3 next week. Aggie

Guest guest
My 4 year old and 2 1/2 year old have been on rice milk. My 4 year old has bee on it since she turned 2 and my 2 1/2 year old since he was 18 months. They are intollerant to milk and soy and can live on the rice milk. My 4 year old twin nephews are on rice milk too and heve been since they were 18 months. Rice milk is the most easily digested and least likely to be an allergen as long as it's soy free. We have never had a problem with it. Gene and Aggie Birocco <birocco@...> wrote: Are you more likely to become intolerant to rice milk if you use it exclusively that cows milk used exclusively. Guest guest
My non-apraxic older son (gluten and milk allergic among other food items) developed a severe rice allergy after a year of tolerating it. But we really overdid it with the rice products. EVERYTHING was rice based, the breads, pasta etc, in addition to rice milk If you are giving rice milk in a kid with possible leaky gut issues, try to limit the rice products you use, and vary things as much as possible. He developed allergies to everything we gave in excess. Again tolerated soy yogurt for months at age 4 (although soy intolerant at age 2...seemed to " outgrow " it) but when we started to introduce soy cheese, ice cream etc...suddenly became very allergic to soy as well. Pick your key rice items and vary as much as possible within the limits of your GFCF diet. - > Are you more likely to become intolerant to rice milk if you use it exclusively that cows milk used exclusively. Guest guest
Thanks again ...As usual you are a wealth of information. We better really be careful because he has a very limited number of things he will eat. I would hate to think what would happen if he became allergic them. Guest guest
Hi - You can try potato milk. My son has been almost exclusively on rice products for the last 6 months..since we started the GFCF diet. His allergy test has shown a huge allergy to rice and I've been thinking that is time to try something else. We are possibly going to try adding in gluten and see what happens. Anyway, my doctor suggested trying potatoe milk just to vary it a little. She indicated that too much of one thing can cause allergies. > > Are you more likely to become intolerant to rice milk if you use it exclusively that cows milk used exclusively.
