Sherlyn, congratulations on finding out you'd been swimming 1.5 miles - wow!

I can barely tread water, so I'm in awe! The fact that you're maintaining

your weight right now is cause to celebrate, too. That's great! Meanwhile,

you're getting fitter with every lap in that pool. That's terrific progress,

and

your cholesterol and blood pressure are thanking you. Mine are still up

there...I've got my work cut out for me :)

The website...not sure, but is it fitday.com?

That's awsome Sherlyn about the swimming! You know there is not much

left of this year so I think if you can maintain for the next two

weeks which with the holidays it is gonna fly by you will be doing

great! It's alwasy a relief when the holidays are over and you can

get back to a regular schedule of things no matter what they may be.

You are doing reat and I am so happy for you!!

There are two sites that i have used one is fitday.com and the other

is nutridiary.com. I like nutridiary. it is more detalied and I have

read it is more accurate but it is also more time consuming than

fitday.

Best of Luck,

Rhonda

Sheryl, I can relate in not following what I put into my mouth. And I can

relate to that little voice inside who is telling me that you can start up next

year... but I can feel the weight creeping back up. I need to prioritize what

is important, loosing weight and feeling healthier or gaining weight and feeling

unhealthy and potentially risking health problems.

Some times it is good to be off :)

Hey! I just got some really good news this morning. I have been faithfully

swimming 1 mile every morning since the beginning of this month. Well, I've

been swimming since the end of August, but as of the first of December I

bumped my laps up to do a full mile every week day morning. I have been

swimming 53 laps (2 lengths) thinking that the pool was 50 feet long. Well

this morning I found out that the pool is actually 25 yards or 75 feet,

meaning I've been doing 1.5 miles instead of only 1. Yay!

Other than that, I'm still just hanging in there. I can't seem to get a

handle on my eating. Every day while I'm in the pool I convince myself that

today is going to be it - I'm going to eat what I'm supposed to eat and not

any extra crap. But then I get home in the chaos of daily living and find

myself eating crap anyway. I need to go back through the house and get rid

of all the crap I have around. That would help.

I'm still maintaining at 192 pounds. Part of me thinks if I can hang on

there, maybe I can get motivated to really kick the eating better in after

the first of the year. The other voice in my head - asks Why would I wait

until the first of the year?

I've got to get back at it. Even though my cholesterol and blood pressure

are much better and I feel better because of that, I don't want to live the

rest of my life at 192 pounds. So I've got to get more serious about the

eating.

What was the name of that site that I've seen talked about here - where you

can enter your daily intake & it will tell you what your calories, fat,

carbs, etc., all are? Maybe that might help me get a better picture of what

I'm doing, which would in turn help me to do better.

Awesome job on the swimming, Sherlyn!! I think most of us are having

a lot of the same eating troubles you are, not that that helps any of

us lose weight. Who's on booty duty? I think a bunch of us need a

good steel-toed shove in the right direction, I know I do. =+)

My eating is not the greatest either and not because I am eating

alot of junk but because I am so busy I am having a hard time

getting lunch in and dinner is not the best either since I have

actually been eating pretty late. I Start off great with breakfast

but then the day gets going and I am running around all day and well

you get the picture. Hey but it will all be back to normal in 2

weeks so that's some good news!!!
