Guest guest
OK, I called about guest passes at the Maritime Aquarium. They are not free, but I can get 6 tickets for $50. Normal admission prices are $10.50 for adults and $8.50 for children ages 2-12. They do have group reservations too but I'm not sure how many of us there will be and if it is just for schools and other organizations. Guest guest
Sigh. We can't do the 8th. Too bad because my whole family loves the aquarium. > > > > -- Bonnie It's about an hour and a half drive for us, so for me it'll be all 4 of us making a family day of it. But that shouldn't influence anyone else's choice to bring the kids or everyone. Mine both adore the Norwalk Aquarium and are older -- the whining around here usually involves wanting more cell phone minutes, a later curfew or a t-shirt with a " cool " skull on it. (grin) So, it seems that Sunday the 8th is the day of choice. Now it's just a matter of a head count to see if we can get a discount. If I remember correctly, it has to be about 20, so I doubt we'll make it up to that level. But I'll call, the group rates aren't listed on their website. Guest guest
That figures. The 8th Bobby has a birthday party for the boy up the block from 1-3. Norwalk is about an hour drive from here, so I don't see how I could do it, and he was the whole reason this thread started in the first place! I am considering going without him, bringing my 9 yr old instead, (the 12 and 15 yr old are " too big " for such childish things!, LOL), but I really wanted Bobby to see the shark tank and the otters, I'm not sure what to do. Plus, I really want to meet you guys, I have also never met other moms of HOH kids, except you, Bonnie. And we didn't have that much time to talk. It would be easier this time with the older two and dh staying at home. (It wouldn't take much to twist his arm!) Hmmm...any other dates in ther feasible? I'm not saying no yet... Guest guest
I won't be able to on Monday, the 9th. My husband has to work and I can't take all 3 kids by myself. Any weekend Jill mentioned would be good for me. JillcWood@... wrote: In a message dated 9/28/2006 6:50:39 A.M. I must have lost my mind, because I read that as 7th=bad and 8th=good. My apologies!!! So I take back the 8th as the day of choice and now ask if everyone has that Monday off ... or we could move it up a week to Sunday the 15th. Boy, do I know how to create confusion. So sorry! Jill (who is going to make a fresh pot of coffee and obviously needs it!!!!)
Guest guest
I empathize with you! Can't imagine 3 of them. My one 3 year old grabs by chin and turns my head to face him if he wants my attention. Drives me to distraction. Makes me want to go on a desert island for a good 3 days. Anyhow, I vote for just taking the one, even if everyone else brings every cousin ever born. Have a chance at some quality time out for yourself:) > Okay, I have just taken out the calendar and before every weekend day is > filled, let's pick one to go play at Norwalk. > > Free dates for us: > > October 8th (Sun) or 9th (Monday/Columbus Day) > > Oct 15th (Sun) > > Nov 11th or 12th (sat/sun) > > Nov 19 (sun) maybe. > > Then the next weekend is Thanksgiving and after that our lives tend to get > nuts until Christmas. > > So ... how does everyone feel about the Columbus Day weekend?
