Guest guest Posted April 9, 2000 Report Share Posted April 9, 2000 Hello Everyone, Just a few weeks ago, my husband and I happened upon the MGB site while researching weight loss surgery. Since then I have been reading your posts to Onelist and feel compelled to write to thank each and everyone of you for your candor, courage, and support. This group has provided an enormous amount of comfort as we (yes, my husband and I both are pre-op MGBer's) travel along the complex path toward surgery. I am 38, 5' 10 " , with a BMI of 41. My husband, also 38, has a BMI of 37 and is considering the mini-gastroplasty. We have three children, 11,7, and 5. In March we took our annual ski trip to Big Sky, Montana and had a hard time " keeping up " with even our youngest child on the mountain. It is our hope that this surgery will provide us with the tool to regain control of our lives, and allow us the freedom from food. You all continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
