She could go three or more weeks without a seizure, then she would have two or more days of many seizures... and generally she was wiped out for a whole week or more recovering. Once she went for almost six weeks without a seizure, then they hit and she was a mess for over a week. Drugs never worked for her, so she had been off meds for a couple of years before keto, with diastat as a backup if we ever needed it. We never did after she was off meds. The best control is when weight is just right, not too much, not too little. Part of the diet " prescription " is a target weight. The idea that all the fat in the diet causes weight gain is completely wrong. There are probably other side effects that you haven't listed, but my brain can't think of them right now.
