Guest guest
I have a Question I am wanting to check on opening a support group for parents in my local town that would help with equipment and other needs of family's with children like ours or atleast my Casey. there is nothing like this in or around my town, does anyone know of any grants or anything else that could help me get this started? Also would any of you guys be interested in something like this if it was in your area? I would like to help parents get meds that they can not afford and help with trips that they are unable to make because of money I feel like this is my calling and why I was given Casey I would love to educate other parents before they have to go through all the trouble of trying one thing or another and let them know about the help that is out there for them. Guest guest
Try your local Epilepsy Foundation. Contact the national foundation if you don't have one in your area. -- " shpankyswife " shpankyswife@...> wrote: I have a Question I am wanting to check on opening a support group for parents in my local town that would help with equipment and other needs of family's with children like ours or atleast my Casey. there is nothing like this in or around my town, does anyone know of any grants or anything else that could help me get this started? Guest guest
They will help a little but not much we are in Oklahoma and the closes one to us is in Oklahoma City. We are in Glenpool I was told that they would help with renting a space but that is about it. I work in Casey's class and have to be within 5 min of the school when I leave for any reason because of her seizures. So I need it close to home many of the parents of my kids in the class don't know about a lot of the programs that are out there and that they can get help in dealing with the struggles of medical bills and getting the care there child needs. I so much want to do this but i have to stay close to Casey and not loose my house at the same time. So I need the help of grants to make this work thank you for your advice It is so valuble thank you again. Carol Casey's mom
