Guest guest
Hi Christy-- My son just turned 3 on 12/24, and has verbal apraxia. I also just started giving him Coromega (1/2 packet a day, usually in the evening on a cut-up popsicle) about 3 or 4 weeks ago. He has shown improvement also, mostly in readily imitating sounds and word approximations, but it may be due to his increased speech therapy. When I first started giving it to him, (even in the afternoon), I thought he also seemed more energetic, and some other minor changes I noticed. I would very much like to hear your recording, please email it to socalcin@.... I am also interested in hearing how often your son goes to preschool and what factors are making it great, how big the class is, how long, etc., what you've noticed. Does he attend w/o you? I will be observing a preschool placement, special ed, next week, and am pretty nervous about having my son attend w/o me, even though I think there will be a lot of benefits. I'm hoping I like what I see enough to enroll him. It is taught by an SLP, other kids have motor planning issues that impact speech. Sounds good. It is 3 hours a week. By the way, I just wanted to second your comment about how great this online community is...what a great resource for us all! Guest guest
Hmmm...I listed another email address to you to send it to, but that didn't seem to show up/work. So, if you would please, sending it to the email address that is displayed would be appreciated. Thanks!
