Guest guest
<< What does a second surgery for decompression entail. I have already had c1 removed. What is next? >> its rare to need additional surgery ...when it is needed /whats done is dirrectly related to what is wrong ...and there are quite a few different things that COULD be complecations and very different ways to approach surgery that would help . It's totally beyond the scope of our suport group to try and answer your question Lynn ...it would be in your best intrests to see a chiari specialist if your having problems that are truly troublesome . Guessing is well beyond whats best for anyone . Only a specialist would have the understanding to sort out whats up ..and how best to mannage the problems ...its very complecated when surgery has already been done . I sugest consulting with one of the ASAP medical board members ( http://asap4sm.com ) .. You'll find them listed under the physicians link at the bottom of the page when it loads in /with addresses /contact info ect . My best wishes ...I'm sorry we can't answer that question..it would truly be dependant on the individual and what is going on in THEIR case . in Paradise
Guest guest
Mine involved a larger decompression and placement of a titanium mesh plate to prevent scar tissue causing problems again. I also had another dura patch placed over the old one as reinforcement. Take care- in Texas > What does a second surgery for decompression entail. I have already had c1 > removed.
