Hey, a.

Although it sounds like a name from the Beverly Hillbillies, it is actually,

as described in Taber's Medical Dictionary:

A surface that slopes, as the sphenoid bone.

c.blumenbachii. The slope at the base of the skull.

Hi a,

The clivus is the bone just in front of (anterior to) your brainstem.

I have a short one, too :) Check out this image on-line.

It shows the clivus clearly. Look only at the image on the left--the

right one is a pathologic case (not chiari).
