Guest guest
Hi Robyn, If seizures are not quite under control, and she is not gaining weight or height., then a cal increase may well be what she needs, but it also depends what her height has been doing. If she has grown 'upwards' but not 'outwards', then yes, I would say she may need a few more. Have you done any glucose checks? The BS level dropping down too low before each meal might tell you whether she is on enough or not. isn't gaining weight or height right now, hasn't done for a while, so I am gonna inch his up again shortly and cross everything that it was the right move, as we often have to do - trial and error....hate that... Seizures after bedtime might be due to ketones being too high at the end of the day, (especially if she has a med dose at nightime too). When you say you are going to do some regular ketone checks, do you mean bhb levels? If so, sounds like a good move.. ----- Original Message ----- > Hi thanks for all who answered my foam question. > > We are going to try pulsing the blender to get less foam. > I am still wondering about CarlieJae's weight? > She is 7 and weighing about 39 pounds and consuming a 1000 calories a day > how come she is not gaining weight? she seems really skinny > and should we increase the calories?
