Guest guest
We buy ours at Sam's Club, or BJ's Wholesale Club, or at Radio Shack (especially when they have a battery sale) The only way to tell how fresh your batteries are is to purchase them from a place that sells them regularly because they are restocked and reordered more often. Some parents on this list get theirs from online sources, but we've never done that. That would mean that I was given enough warning that he needed batteries. He's usually pretty good about putting them onto the grocery list, but often that item is added when he pops the last two into his aids. I've taken to picking them up when I find a sale, whether they're on the list or not. We've had packs that are brand new, bought from a quick turnover kind of place, and half the batteries were short lived. We just had a pack like that Sometimes you just get a bad batch and there's no way to tell. It happens every now and then, not often. Guest guest
We've tried Costco, but they are always out of stock. I wish there was a good online place to order them. I truly hate Costco. Guest guest
WE live in a shopping wasteland but a BJs finally came to town. They had great prices on the size 13s, etc. but never the " boomer " batteries that my boys needed - the 675s. I do know people who have used microbattery.com and been pleased. Guest guest
Hi , My son is 10 months and recieved his hearing aids and batteries (and supplies) from Early Intervention. We just had a new IFSP (I always get the initials confused) and batteries were included. I would suggest talking with the people where she got the HA from. Guest guest
I get batteries at Radio Shack. They are relatively cheap (especially when on sale), work very well, and have expiration dates on the packages. Occasionally I buy other brands if they happen to be on sale, but I try not to buy too many at once so they won't go bad before we can use them. Last week we were down to a store-brand package of batteries--DS is 12 and takes care of his hearing aids himself, but he forgets to tell me when we're running out of batteries. He changed the batteries, then came and told me he thought the aids were broken, because they still didn't work. I looked at the package, and realized that they had expired about six months earlier. We went through most of the batteries in the package to find a pair that worked, but I bought more batteries the next day. I thought about trying microbattery.com for a batch--they are very cheap, and they do sell name-brand batteries--but I keep forgetting to place the order. Kiminy --------------------------------- Talk is cheap. Use Yahoo! Messenger to make PC-to-Phone calls. Great rates starting at 1¢/min.
