Guest guest
Mike, you are so very right. When we first started doing this I was very sympathetic to the birth parents, but I get angry when I see these kids trying to survive, just trying to pick up the pieces and put them back together. When I hold this tiny five month old baby and listen to him gasping for his breath until the medication in the svn machine kick in because she smoked to many drugs during pregnancy and made him breathe it afterward secondhand. When I see poor baby Keyone with reactive airway disease, asthma, irritable bowel, and gerd at the age of two just getting used to being able to eat without throwing half or more of it back up I want to SCREAM! He used to wake up three and four times a night crying to hard holding his little tummy saying owie, owie, and now that they have him on Zantac, he doesn't have them anymore. The specialist said that all of these issues are from breathing the crack smoked by four and five family members around him from birth and some of it is from weighing four pounds at birth because she got herself so high on pcp that it put her in premature labor. And that's just the physical stuff, we have Bridget who was perfect and then beaten at 16 months because of what?? What could a 16 month old baby do to deserve spending the rest of her life in a wheelchair while her Mom goes out a pops out three more babies?? That's not even getting in to the older ones who like your little guys have mental health issues from all of the abuse. I am sorry, it's just that hearing about your poor son and living with mine, I guess I am a little sensitive about all of this right now. Sorry this got so long, it just burns my butt! I sure hope they can get him stable and home soon, poor guy. a C DAMN these birth mothers who are so sick on drugs and alcohol when they are carrying this innocents. I am torn between wanting to help them, and wanting to wring their ignorant necks. Not a happy place to be right now.
Guest guest
a C., Thanks honey. I know it really hurts us to see our kids suffer so much because of such idiotic behaviors by their birth families. I offer up prayers every night for the salvation of their souls, and the saving of their babies lives to good purpose. You are in my thoughts every day for what you are doing. Loving hugs, MM P.S. I am hoping to bring Randy home early in the week. He misses being at home, but his biggest complaints are that he's not allowed to plug himself into a music player, and can't chew gum. Very miffed about it, in fact. LOL
