Eunice Kennedy Shriver Sports & Training Center to Be Dedicated on January

20th

Special Olympics New Jersey is set to open the new Eunice Kennedy Shriver

Sports & Training Center. The Center will be officially dedicated on

Saturday, January 20. Mrs. Shriver herself is scheduled to attend the

dedication ceremony that will be followed by an exhibition basketball game

featuring Special Olympics athletes.

Basketball Schedule Announced

The dates have been set for the 2007 Basketball season. Both the North teams

and the South teams will have the opportunity to play on the new court at

the SONJ Sports Complex. The South Sectional Tournament is scheduled for

March 4 at The Lawrenceville School with the North Sectional at Drew

University on March 11. For more information, including Spring Sports

Festival dates, please visit the competition schedule online.

There is Still Time to Sign Up to Volunteer at Winter Games

The Winter Games are scheduled to start on January 27 at the Wildwoods

Convention Center, the hosts of the Floor Hockey Competition, before moving

north for skiing and skating.

Are You Ready to Take the Plunge...... TWICE!?

That's right. There will be TWO Polar Bear Plunges this year. The Plunges

are presented by The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics New

Jersey, but you don't have to be law enforcement to jump in the frigid

Atlantic Ocean. You too can take the plunge in either Wildwood, on Jan. 13,

or Seaside Heights, on Feb. 24. Find out how!
