Guest guest
Georgia, The MediSense meter can be purchased over the counter. However, ketones naturally increase during seizures, so it won't do any good to test during or after a seizure (I learned that one the hard way!). If seizures come at a predictable time, it is helpful to test ketones around that time with the meter. Good luck! , mom to Langan, 2 yrs old Monday and keto kid since 11/03; med free since 4/2/04; MAYBE coming off keto due to acidosis. = ( > I read some discussion on a blood meter that also can check keyton level too. What kind is it and where do you get it. It would be helpful to check keyton level during a seizure. > Thanks, Georgia
