Join us in learning how you can begin to build that important bridge in your district. This training will prepare a parent and educator team from your building or district to co-present to groups of families and educators in your district. Your team should include at least one parent and one special educator (e.g., child study team member, special educator teacher, related services provider, or inclusion facilitator). Your team will learn: * To develop an understanding of the characteristics of a collaborative team; * To identify key behaviors that facilitate good communication and effective collaboration; * About tools and strategies that advance ongoing parent/educator collaboration in the IEP process; and, * To plan and implement this training in your school or district.
