Tina,

What age/grade is this child?

I don't know special ed laws in Canada, but I do know what I would recommend

in the states.

Insist that you have a licensed professional (of your choosing - or approval)

to conduct a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) for the purpose of putting

into place a (BIP) Behavior Intervention Plan. This professional should give an

accurate assessment of the situations and how to avoid them happening.

In the states it is quite common to blame the child that is victimized,

especially where the parent is a vocal advocate on behalf of their child. BIP's

put restrictions on the teachers on how exactly to respond to situations and

more importantly what they may be doing wrong to contribute to situations.

If you approach this as earnestly seeking a way to rectify the " situation " it

will probably be a win/win for you and your child. I would hope that in Canada

this would be a binding document attached to your equivalent of an IEP

(Individual Education Plan) and if the plan was violated in the future by the

staff there would be repercussions to them.

Good work documenting issues. Save everything, do all communication by email

(which is dated and timed) try to always sound " assertively helpful " while

getting your point across.

I called human rights commisison today - it's legal as it pertains to

my chiild, and we just have to blot out faces of other kids . Period.

The school is trying to lie to me, due to afraid of what i will catch

on tape... and they say that my kid is a bully (this is truly not my

child) and then they cower and worry when I say i will go check up on

them and it becomes 'unwarranted'. Please... if they will lie about

my chidl, every step I take to protect him is warranted, because he

can't speak up for himself .

And I have spoken to his friends at teh school, and they tell me that

he is the one being bullied, my little boy is first bullied, then

dragged inside by the Monitor like a criminal and then reprimanded by

the teacher . So , now he can't speak up for himself and the Monitor

is bullying him? She's a coward. Because she won't be able to stand

up to me i gaurantee this. and she will have to answer to me in the

New year.

Ok , getting off my venting booth now. TIna
