Guest guest Posted July 5, 2002 Report Share Posted July 5, 2002 My name is Diane Fox and I just found out that I have Chiari I of they say 7-8mm. I have 4 children, Kipfer 12 yo has bipolar, Tad 6 yo has autism, epilepsy, and hypothyroidism, Cheyenne 4 yo, and Charity 18 month old. My symptoms are dizziness, headaches(everyday), neck stiffness, sleepiness, memory loss, ear aches and ringing, pressure in my head, numbness all over, chest pains, nausea, muscle pains in extremities, hair loss, panic attacks. My father passed away on December 22, 2001 and since then I have had a hysterectomy, been diagnosed with a hiatel hernia (where the esophagus and stomach meet), acid reflux, panic attacks, carpral tunnel, and depression. I have always been a very strong person and this didn't seem right. I thought I was losing my mind, I thought I was becoming a hypochondriac. Thank God for my husband who kept telling me to have the doctor do a MRI. We live in Bluford, Illinois (nowhere, Illinois). One of my questions is my husband will have to take probably 2 months off of work( we have no family to help, long story) does anyone have any ideas or suggestions for financial help? Can he get unemployment during that time? To the women, did any of you cut your hair before the surgery or even after? I know these questions seem weird but I am just trying to be positive and I guess I am just trying to process it all right now.
