CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS DUE IMMEDIATELY

The Annual SPAN conference offers parents/caregivers, educators,

administrators and service providers an excellent opportunity to increase

their skills and knowledge of issues affecting the education and healthy

development of children. Participants from across the state, across

backgrounds, agencies, school districts and interests come together to

network and collaborate around common agendas to improve outcomes for

children. The most successful presentations are action-oriented, useful and

motivating.

General Guidelines for Presentations

The SPAN Conference offers a variety of formats to satisfy the learning

styles and preferences of all attendees. Workshops selected by the Program

Committee will on topics of broad interest and where instructional

techniques are interactive and hands-on.

Presentation Duration: Sessions will be 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 hours each.

Formats: Presentations may be presented in any of the formats outlined:

Workshop: A thorough, in-depth, hands-on examination of an issue, or

demonstration of techniques and strategies

Skills Seminar: Intensive training session to enhance existing skills and

learn new techniques

Panel Discussion: A formal discussion of a subject of relevance and

importance to a specific target audience by a group of persons with

particular expertise.
