Subject: Recommendations for OT aperfectfitz

Hi- I'm new to the site. I am looking for recommendations for

pediatric

OT. My daughter has a feeding problem, " failure to advance texture "

and

was prescribed OT at the St. ph's Feeding and Swallowing Center.

But while my Cigna HMO covers her visits with the doctor, the OT

sessions were not covered.

I am having a very difficult time finding a list of pediatric OTs. My

insurance company doesn't provide a list and the service that they

use,

Orthonet - is ridculous. They don't even separate OTs from PTs, never

mind classify for pediatrics. I called Childrens Specialized

Hospital -

same thing - I am covered for the evaluation but they don't accept my

insurance for continued OT.

Her speech is also delayed, and I had her evaluated by EI. She

qualifies for speech therapy, but not specifically for OT.

I believe her speech delay is connected to her eating problems, and

want to ensure that she is getting all the help she needs.

Thanks,

katie
