I mentioned to my husband that I was making a list of accomplishments

when he inquired as to why I was typing furiously into my laptop while we

were watching " Dinosaur Planet " on Discovery last night (which was

*awesome*, by the way!).

When I said that I had hoped to lose more by Christmas, but was happy

with 30 lbs, he said, " 30lbs? You've lost wayyy more than that. " I

said, " No, it *was* 30, but actually I am up 2lbs. " He said, " I thought

you lost some before Eddie's wedding. " Time sure flies. My brother

Eddie's wedding was in November of 2002, and my brother 's wedding

was in October 2003. I had forgotten about the weight I lost prior to

Eddie's wedding. On my birthday in June 2002, I weighed 256lbs. I

managed to lose 40lbs. by October 2002. Then during Christmas and the

early part of 2003, I gained back 20 lbs. When I joined the WLB group in

August 2003, I was about 236. I'm not sure what my point is. LMAO! I

guess I had forgotten my real starting point, and that in less than 18

months, I had lost nearly 50lbs. So that made me a little prouder. I

just hope it doesn't take another 18 months to get this last 50 off! If

I ever get under the 200 mark, it will be a miracle!

Autumn :)

50 pounds **better** make you prouder, cause Alabama ain't that far

from me, and I don't need much excuse to drive out of this crummy

snow, which means you better start being **more** proud, **more**

often, and be a lot **less** hard on yourself, or you'll end up with

a knock at your door....and you'll have heard my steel-toed boots a-

coming!! Sheesh!! Oh, sure, you've been lucky, and you've had the

PCOS and quitting smoking to make it EASIER on you, right?? Well,

then, I guess you're right, 50 pounds, big whoopie, that's nothing!!

Did I say " Sheesh! " already???
