Guest guest
Hi My son was evaluated back in October and it was wonderful. They came and just tried to play with him and they listened to the way he was babbling. They showed him books, tried to get him to play with the blocks that they brought. He wasn't very cooperative because we had to wake him up from his nap. Then they wrote up thier evaluations and we went over thier findings and gave me a few suggestions of things to do for him while we waited for offical therapy to start which should be soon. Good luck and let us know how it went. a > > My son is 2 and is being evaluated on the 4th by EI. What should I > suppect from this evaluation? Guest guest
My son is 2 1/2 and has been receiving EI services for 6 months. When he was evaluated the ST came and a teacher they had my son do some activities and tried to get him to imitate some things. They had him build a tower with blocks, draw a few lines, identify some objects, etc. Nothing too invasive or scary. My son wasn't real cooperative. They were strangers to him. But, part of what they rely on his what you can tell them about what your child can and can't do. Guest guest
Well, my son had is EI appointment yesterday and the Developmental & Speech Therapist believe that Ethan has Apraxia and Stimuli Senitivity. They recomended that he has 2 sessions of speech, 1 group, and 1 session of OT. Part of me is relieved that now we have a starting point to get him help. He is a very happy child even though he can not talk, he tries so hard. What have you hear about the Essential Fatty Acids Omega 3 & 6 and if you have tried them what success have you had? Guest guest
a, It went well and pretty much as you said. My son started speech therapy last week and they are trying to find an OT that can work with him 2x/wk. I also started him on ProEFA's about 3 weeks ago and he is verbalizing a lot more and have quite a few new partial words. He is taking 3 ProEFA's a day and I am debating on increasing to 4, any advise? Leane > > > > My son is 2 and is being evaluated on the 4th by EI. What should I > > suppect from this evaluation?
