Guest guest Posted March 7, 2004 Report Share Posted March 7, 2004 thanks everyone for the kind comments on my long, long story...It took me going to the memorial to kinda reach closure. I needed to see it...I needed to see the ship again...the final chapter of the closure will be when we go to Arlington and pay our respects. We have not done so yet cause my daughter is not ready for that...she will let us know when she is...I just wish I could have a magic wand and erase all those pictures that the surviving sailors have in their minds...things that will haunt them for the rest of their lives... if you ever meet a veteran or someone who is currently serving, tell them thank you...cause they sacrifice so much and they endure so much...so we can remain free...thanks again...chippy Remember the 17 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
