Guest guest Posted December 17, 2004 Report Share Posted December 17, 2004 Hi Claire had a battery of blood tests last week, since she has been on the diet over 3 years. The results are coming back in dribs and drabs, but B12 is back and is abnormally high. 1209 pg/mL normal is 200 - 1000. Has anyone else had a high Vitamin B12 result? I can't seem to find any info on it. There's plenty on B12 deficiency, but not elevated levels. She is not supplemented in B vitamins . . . . only what is in 1 Centrum and it is only 1mcg. On the pathology results it said " Elevated levels can be seen in B12 therapy, liver disease or rarely myelproliferative disorders. " She is not supplemented in B12 specifically, liver function tests came back as normal, and it doesn't sound like a myelproliferative disorder, so I am a bit puzzled. Any ideas?
