I found in the File archive a list of Hopkins approved

products. Is there any other list our there? I have not been

provided with anything but what foods can and can't eat, but

nothing really about shampoo, lotions, etc.

still has one more molar to cut, so I was glad to see we

could give him the swab orajel, I had already read the gel version

and noticed sorbitol in it so was just hoping this tooth would just

come in with no problem.

Also, Desitin or other diaper ointments. began the diet on

Monday, Dec. 6th. He had a bowel movement the following Monday

which started out solid, but 4 more diapers came with an hour and

half and they were not solid and acidic. He asked for bottom

medicine and I reached for the Desitin Cream. I read the label and

saw nothing, but the next day found the file and stated that the

cream was a No, No. He had a great day on Monday, no seizure

activitiy, drops or tremors after 10am until he woke up the next

morning. But, I had used the Desitin after all 5 diaper changes and

now wonder if that could have been a potential setback or just a

coincedence.

On Wednesday of last week while in the hospital we had a terrible

day, 3 generalized seizures and several tremors, atonic and muscle

jerks. had woke up great that morning enough we decided to

take him down to the bathtub and give him a bath. His skin was dry

so I lathered him up all over with & Baby Lotion,

the pink stuff and then within an hour, the seizure activity broke

through. We asked the Dietician and she said that it should have

been ok, but I didn't notice this on the list of Approved Items, but

did notice baby oil.

Again, all may be a coincedence, but we want to put the best foot

forward to give this diet a chance. Several post I have read have

been so successful and with going into Ketosis so easily, I

believe we will too once we have all the meds out of his system. We

stopped the Depakote entirely while in the hospital and have weaned

the Clorazapate/Tranzene to just a 1/4 pill twice a day from (1/4

pill 3 times daily and occassionally a 1/2 pill rather than the 1/4

when his activity picked up over Thanksgiving) and plan to not give

it tonight and try once a day for the next few days. We haven't

changed the Zonegran at all at this point, will hopefully find out

Monday at our followup what are next step will be about decreasing

this med.

Thanks again for all the helpful information.
