Guest guest
Hello there, I haven't been on the group for awhile. I took a break because things got so busy with therapy, work, etc., I'm sure many of you can relate. I live in South Florida, the land of hurricanes and rising insurance premiums. Over the past several years I've focused mainly on my son, , and trying to keep all the balls I'm juggling in the air. Something that has bothered me for some time is the shortage of people who really specialize in apraxia, not just for my son, but for all of the other kids in the area. In an effort to try and help as many kids get better quality treatment I've decided to try to bring as many workshops to my area as possible. (Not just to help my absolutely adorable little 5 year old, but other kiddos as well.) The first workshop is March 29-31, 2007 in Boynton Beach (Palm Beach County), FL. It's the Introduction to Prompt: Technique Workshop. If you are in Florida, or know any SLPs in Florida, would you please help me get the word out? You can either pass the info along to someone or please send me any contact information as I will be sending out flyers. I'm really hoping to get workshops like PROMPT and others coming through the area in the next few years. My hope is that by sharpening the skills of the people in the area that they will be able to help as many children as possible. I appreciate any help any of you may be able to provide to make these successful. Thanks in advance, Alba Gaston West Palm Beach, FL Mom to absolutely adorable, walrus loving 5 year old with apraxia, dysarthria, hypotonia, global apraxia and sensory motor disorders.
