Guest guest
Good question! I just purchased a gamma with 450 mg, and wondered how that translated. Guest guest
I did the math because of the apples/oranges thing, since the alpha is expressed as IU and the gamma as mg. It turns out that since 1500 IU of alpha equals 1000 mg, then 400 IU of alpha is 266 mg. Thus, you can compare it to the gamma, both in mg. They don't express gamma in terms of IU's and in fact I was told by one of the pharmaceutical companies, I forget which one, that at some point they expect to use mg for both. That would certainly end some confusion, wouldn't it? Suzanne Re: [ ] Vitamin E - - ---- MG vs IU? Mistake- the one I bought has 500 mg gamma.
