Guest guest
Hiya overworked moderators *grin and a wink* I need to be taken to no mail for right now, My girlfriend is in ICU and i need to concintrate on keeping everyone in the family sane and no drama productions. LOL have to love in law family they are a handful when it comes to drama freak outs. Cat developed the flu on sunday and by thursday had pnenomia (sp?) we were in the er friday morning. by friday evening she was in ICU. She was intibated and on a ventalor this morning, which is actually a good thing. after 12 hours being on the vent she is moving air better and is resting now instead of fighting to be the strong one or getting upset at people's drama productions. Her stats are all where they are suppose to be. We are going to keep her on the vent for a min of 48 hours just to let her body rest and get her lungs clear. That's the game plan right now. I am holding up really well, but i also have a really wonderful support system in Cat's work, she works for the ambulance service that is run out of the hospital she is in. If you have ever heard anything about how EMS and Fire pull together when one of thier own is sick or injured, you know they are a pretty tight group. all of them have done so many things for us in the past few days, they think of everything including bringing the family and friends lunch today in the ICU waiting room, setting up a cot in an officer's office just in case i want it/need it instead of sleeping in chairs, and calling me every 2 hours with updates when i am at home. They have made me cry several times with thier consideration and support. I will be peeking on the board as i can and to get out updates. Please keep us in your prayers BMW _________________________________________________________________ Learn how to help protect your privacy and prevent fraud online at Tech Hacks & Scams. http://special.msn.com/msnbc/techsafety.armx
Guest guest
Ok hon, I switched ya to no mail. Please keep us updated on your girlfriend. I will add her as well as yourself to my prayers. Yes EMS, firefighters, etc. do take good care of one another when one of their own is involved. My husbands family are all fireman and even though Mike didn't finish his fire training everyone in his home towns fire dept all know and pull for him and I. Plus his dad and uncle and two cousin are a part of that fire house and his other cousin is a top ranked fireman in the city of rochester (the only paid fireman) So the departments know my last name well =) (Can be a good thing for the most part but can also be a pain at times as well) Anyways, please know we are all pulling for you and your girlfriend and we are always here for you. Take care hon, and think positive...
