hi everyone

I'm a newbie and don't know if i'm doing this right cross my fingers.

i went to Dr. R's saturday consult and felt I had missed something because I

didn't have any questions after all I know I have to have this surgery my

weight is so high

anyway I thought I was there to get an appointment for the surgery I was

treated very well but still didn't know what I was supposed to do. I made

psych appointments and pap tests all that was on the list to get the surgery

then found out that it is not in my policy and insurance didn't cover it so I

could not appeal. I didn't get that either if my pcp says I need this how can

you deny (spelling) me treatment. Talked with deb and get the insurance part

now. I just enrolled in a different policy that will pay if dr. deems it

necessary. I am a long winded person and know this is a lot please bear with

me anyway I enrolled on this onelist as Dr. R suggested and read almost all

the emails yes all 800 and some but I get very useful info from it and now I

know questions i should ask. My problem is I am so computer illiterate that I

don't know if you have a chat room or where it is. I see things posted and

get the mail but is anyone on line so that I can type screen to screen?

Hi ,

I am also new to this, so if you get any info or information would

you pass it on to me! Please! I am just starting this and am kind of lost. As

far as chat room, if you go to www.egroups.com then click on minigastric

bypass on the left hand side of the page, then when that page comes up scroll

down and on the left you will see where it says chat, click on this. I have

went there several times but no one has ever been in it. Hope this helps.

YES! That was my child! Everyone is asking me and I missed it! What did

, alot of information that you can find is at Dr R's website at

clos.net. I think we've all made it our " homepage " . LOL If you don't like

the mailing list format, you could post to the list that you would like to

chat at such and such a time, and then anyone wanting to join in could at

that time. I'm just not much of a chat program chatter. This I can do at

my leisure and it doesn't take all of my attention. So just ask questions

and anyone who knows the answer will post back.

You said something very interesting to me. You said your insurance excludes the

surgery. I have the same type of plan. I have been considering self pay for

about the last year. What I'm curious about is that " Deb " had you switch to a

different insurance company that would pay? Can you tell me who Deb is and more

about who the insurance company is and how that works? Please I feel like I am

at my wits end!
