Hi Fanney,

I have been thinking about and prayingfor you all night. I'm not usually

online at this hour, but somethign woke me up. I'm glad to have the chance

to wish you well before you go for surgery.

I pray that you will have total peace as you enter surgery and that God will

guide the hands of Dr. Rutledge and his surgical team as they do your

surgery. I KNOW that you are just the right size for the surgery now. How

do I know? I have faith that Dr. R. would not schedule you if there was even

the smallest chance that you were still too big!

So my friend...I am wrapping my arms around you and giving you a virtual bear

hug and wishing you well in your surgery. I cannot wait to meet you and look

upon you with envy that you have crossed over!

I am sitting here in front of the computer, totally steralized.

I have had a shower, used the very strange soap, and now I am quietly

waiting for the moment to arrive that I have waited so long for.

All my worries, that were butterflies yesterday are now a brick

in my stomach. Little by little the butterflies changed into pebbles

that became pressed into a brick by my worries.

Am I scared of dying, no. Am I scared of pain, no. Am I scared

of that something will happen to me in the surgery, no. Then what is

the fear about. I am scared that I will wake up and look up and see

the angelic face of Dr R. He will tell me very seriously that I was

still too fat for the surgery, and they were not able to do it. That

is what is written in on the brick in my stomach,,,,,,, I wonder are

all fears unfounded???????????????

Thank you all for your support and I will report to you when I

am

done,,,,,,,,,,,,, it is okey to crack a smile about my fear, but I

tell you it is very real to me that is,,,,,,,,,,, :-}

But I want to tell you that I have smiled, and laughed at my

fear, but it is still here.......... :-} So I hope later today I can

smile and laugh as I wait for another shot out of the Morphine

pump,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, have heard it is dusy,,,,,,,,,:-}

Oh Fanney, we just heard from Dr R that you did fine!!! I think any of us

have butterflies right before a big change in our lives. Now you are ready

to start your new life---I think you are going to have so much fun!!! If

you haven't started it already, you need to produce a web page with a diary

and regular picture updates so we can all watch you as a work in progress. :-))

Peggy, I don't know if this will help but the only doctor I had ever been to

was my OB GYN so therefore when it came to getting a letter from my PCP I

didn't have one. My OBGYN was nice enough to write the letter for me and said

she would be happy to follow up with me after surgery and she supported me on

my decision to have the MGB.

Peggy, Your blood work should be fine from March. I didn't have any bloodwork

done until I was in the hospital the morning of my surgery and they also did

my EKG. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask. Liz

Where are you on your list of requirements? I'm so down!! I feel like

I'm starting all over because my PCP didn't want to write the letter and

now I have to find another PCP. I've heard others were having the same

problem.

Thanks smitty, maybe I'll try my OBGYN. I've already had my GYN

appoint. earlier this month so maybe I'll call. One question, I had my

lab work drawn the begining of March, do you think I,ll have to have it

drawn again?

someone said that it was only good for one month. We'll see.

Hi ,

I went to Durham Regional last night to visit with , and I also stopped

by and saw your sister Fanney, as well as meeting Paige. All three came

through the surgery beautifully and it was a pleasure to meet them all.

Fanney was a little nauseated but overall she looked great, so try not to

worry about her (easier said that done, I know). She spoke of you and

and can't wait to see you guys. was alert and not in much pain, just a

little tired. Paige, well, she was raring to go, non-stop talkative!! HeHe.

The male nurse Jeff talked to us quite a while in her room. He is so nice!

It was nice meeting you ladies and good to see you too Ginny!
