A brief history, if you don't mind: Skyler's had intractable E for 14 years. 2 years ago he developed Myasthenia Gravis...a neuro-muscular disorder...which affected his breathing and swallowing...hence the n-g. Because of the breathing problems no g-i talk would anesthetize him...til he was stronger and could tolerate the procedure. He now eats some solids by mouth...all liquids and meds (and MCT as he's on that version of the Keto diet) go through the tube. It is SO much better than an n-g...and so nice not having that damned thing taped to his face for the world to stare at. What's your story? I hope we are making the right decision. We were in the exact same boat...our son had an n-g for almost 17 mos and finally got a g-tube, then a Mic-Key.
