Guest guest
For those who like to follow folk's experiences ... I had my 4th session yesterday. I go to a plastic surgeon's office and have the treatments administered by a nurse. She isn't trained in treating rosacea and we are learning together. The last time we did a double pass with the 570 then 590 filter, 37J, 2ms, triple pulse. This time we decided to up the energy so we used the 570 filter, increased the joules to 45, and doubled the time to 4ms, still triple pulse. I was surprised that it didn't feel any different and we surmised that it was due to the energy being spread out over the extra 2 milliseconds. Although it didn't hurt I was pretty red when we were through so we decided to wait a week to do the second pass with the 590 - same settings. I must say that I am not as red this morning as I have been after past sessions - usually it takes a week before the redness dies down. I think this time was a turning point - we'll see. I think the Photoderm is going to be a success for me. I may not end up with perfectly pale skin but I'm already a shade or two lighter than I was when I started and I think it's wonderful. I pay $150 a session but I'm located in interior Alaska so we're not too accessible. Judi
