Can somebody help me out with some advice about oils. Prior to

starting the diet, we used to give Denis fish oil for the Omegas 3

and 6. However, when we started the diet our dietician advised us to

stop. She said the rape oil (called canola in the U.S.) would

provide him with the Omegas he needs.

Does anyone know if canola is enough. Should we be using other oils

as well? Thanks for any advice.

I used to use Udo's oil, which is the perfect balance of omega 3,6, and

9's. I saw improvement when my son was alive and we were supplementing

with it. It is also all organic, and flora the company that produces it,

promise's the oils are stripped from the planet using much smaller

amounts of heat thus preserving the oils original useful properties.

There is a divergence of opinion on this subject, I would say no, canola

by itself is not good enough. We used a mixture of flax oil, olive oil

and either canola or sunflower oil. If you look into canola oil, you

will find things that are both very posistive and very negative. So I

used some, but not too much. I always get the omega 3s and omega 6s

mixed up, but whichever one it is people tend to be deficient in, to my

knowledge canola is not a good source of it. Flax oil is. Fish oil is

also very healthy.

Or you can used a blend like Udos oil. I think sticking with canola oil

makes the diet much less healthy
