recipies to make sure i have them under my belt befor the big day.

thanks

kim

> There are some recipes in the files section Kim, have you looked

there? Also there is a sep yahoo webring called 'ketorecipes' that

one of the Moms from here set up a while ago.

> I am not one to be offering much cooking advice I'm afraid - I'm

awful in the kitchen, but one meal I have managed for that he

really likes is chicken nuggets, which are basically chicken pieces

rolled in mayo and coated with crushed pork rinds and fried in oil.

You can use egg instead of the mayo but we find it goes thru too much

protein allowance.

> Another favourite of 's is his keto ice cream, which is

whipped cream (if whipped first I've found it doesn't need stirring

while setting) mixed with oil (about half the cream amount, helps

prevent it setting like concrete...) and a small amount of yoghurt or

dairy food to flavour/sweeten it. It uses up a heap of fat content

for the meal, so he has this one a lot, if he wants a change I give

him a milkshake which is cream, a bit of sweetener, and a small

amount of cocoa. He sometimes likes it heated as hot chocolate, but

it is nearly Summer here in NZ so he doesn't have them hot very often

at the mo.

> I also make him some choc muffins now and then, either the basic

ones which are oil and whipped eggwhite mixed together with sweetner

and cooking choc, (come out sort of like choc meringues) or more

recently I have been adding gound almonds (thanx :) to use as a

type of flour. Those ones come out heavier, and more like proper

cakes. He has both types split in half with whipped cream on top.

> Breakfast is the same every day here - egg cream and oil mixed

together and fried to make a 'pancake' with some carb on the side -

usually some banana, now and then a few small crackers. He has this

for dinner too actually, (just before bedtime) but in sl smaller

portions.

> Best of luck with the new diet initiation :)
