changing up the fish oil

A friend of mine hooked us up with free Nordic Naturals samples

which is so incredibly great of her since we all know how expensive

they are. However, She gave me the Arctic Omega brand which is

Omega 3's but no 6 or 9. We have previously been on 4 Omega 3.6.9's

a day and two EPAs. It is soooo tempting to switch our daughter to

the Arctic Omega but I'm worried about regression with changing

things up. Has anyone had their child on(or switched their child

to) just Omega 3's? The Arctic Omega is EPA 360mg, DHA 240 mg, and

other Omega 3's 100 mg.

I really don't want to mess things up here, but as you all know

Nordic Naturals is so expensive and we would be saving so much money

by just using our samples. I don't know if I should just try it and

see what happens and if so, what the closest equivalent dose would

be ? (6 Arctic Omegas seems a little excessive?)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. My husband thinks I would be

insane to still buy the 3.6.9 and EPA if we have this big box of

samples just sitting there.

Thanks in advance,

Why don't you try it and just monitor? If you see regression, it

quickly is reversed by going back to the old formula...and really

nothing is lost, except a few days of progress. -

When we had the same situation I used the arctic omega and added some

evening primrose oil separately to get the GLA found in the Proefa.

You might want to give it a try. Evening primrose oil is easy to find

and cheap. You could use borage oil instead to add the GLA component.
