Hi All!

The last time I posted, was on antibiotics again (!) for a

sinus infection. The only time he had been off of antibis since

initiating the diet in late Oct was the week he was in the hospital

and maybe two or three days after!

He has been off of the antibis for about four days. While on the

drug, his ketones never got above 40 even though it was a keto-

friendly antibi. His dietician said this was common due to the

infection. He has shown good ketones for two days now and the

seizures are coming down dramatically. He was having 50 myoclonics

a day and is now in the mid twenties! Pre-diet he had the majority

of szs upon waking up. His morning szs are not bad at all now. We

are having a problem around 5 pm - 7 pm. I was hoping you guys

could give me some advice! He is on 4:1/800 cals. He eats at 7-

7:30 am; 1 pm; 5:00 snack; 8:00 dinner. He is on keppra am and pm.

Should I give his snack earlier? Should I split his snack in two?

His urine stick is reading ketosis during this period.

Thanks for any advice!

Leigh
