Guest guest
I would watch using the flax as a replacement, It is a seed and is often a cross-reacting problem. We have friends whose son has tree nut allergies and his worst reaction has actually been from sunflower seeds!!! Be careful of that and maybe check with her allergist. If she could tolerate soy, what about tofu? I am not too sure how that would be done, as I am allergic to soy - but it is an idea. That's odd unless they were 1. roasted in peanut oil. 2. prepared in a plant that also does peanuts or 3. he's also allergic to sunflower seeds. They are not in the same family so seeds should be safe if you are allergic to nuts (barring the above). __________________________________________________
