Hello everybody!

This is a reminder about our next meeting on Thursday October 12th,

2006 from 6pm to 8pm. We will have Deb McManman speaking about her

trip to Ireland, Michie Spradling filling us in on the success of the

Eugene Celebration, and Lindsey Shockley giving samples of her gluten

free cookies with the opportunity to buy some after the meeting. At

every meeting we will have informational handouts. These can range

from the latest research to ways different stores or restaurants in

the areas are trying to adjust for our needs.

Things to think about:

1) We will need to discuss and vote on dues for the membership.

Currently, the suggested dues are $20, $25, or $30 per year. These

dues will go to informational print outs, public events such as the

Eugene Celebration, a monthly or quarterly newsletter, and to pay for

special group events. After we have voted on dues, we will all need

to pay them.

2) We will have a raffle at every meeting for various gluten free

mixes, food items, and gift certificates to different stores and as

they come around, restaurants. Raffle tickets will only be $1 each.

We will also be selling samplers this meeting at $1 each, or two for

$1.50. These events will be to help raise funds for our group.

3) This meeting will be an indoor picnic. Please bring your own food,

plates, silverware, drinks, and anything else you may want for dinner.

The meeting will be at 1800 Lakewood Court off of Highway 99. See map

on the next page. If you need instructions, please contact Michie

Spradling at gfchef@..., or . If you know for

sure that you will make it, please let Michie know at either of the

above contacts. This is only to have an approximate idea of how many

people we are expecting, you do not have to contact us. It is ok if

you change plans at the last second. You do not have to notify us.
