Good news/bad news re: Lily

Just a quick hello to say that Lily has been weaning from her topamax

and has had a good month, overall. She was sick in the middle of

this, in the hospital with mild dehydration because she was throwing

up too much. She had only 1 seizure during this time. I was amazed.

Only 3 Diastats, the last being on Thanksgiving. That's the bad news:

Thanksgiving was one of, if not the worst, seizure episode yet. In

any event, the Diastat stopped it, thank goodness, but she is still a

little groggy. However, her neuro agreed to wean her off the rest of

the topamax, which is great. We'll see how it goes. She's now on the

diet and .5 Klonopin over 4 doses.

More good news than bad, but that seizure was certainly a bummer.

Best to all,

Caitlin

Hi Caitlin, sorry to hear about the seizure episode on Thanksgiving.

At least she is off the Topomax now.

I hope she continues to do well.
