As humans we are so different, and it is the difference that makes us beautiful. Some people use strong words, others are gentle. When I came to USA I had to learn a total new way of speaking. We in Iceland are very direct. When I spoke I was direct, and I did hurt many peoples' feelings, for they did not understand, thought I was being rude. I have since learned to speak like the natives, if you will,,,,,,, :-} >> What Fanny Iceland says is so true. We're made up of people here, from all ove rhte USA and and many different countries. I'm origionally from the NE, lived in co, and now in NC. We have 2 daughters adopted from Romania and have spent many 'vacations' working in Romanian orphanages and going over there for adoptions. Romanians always sound like they are arguing. Our first trip there....I started crying many times because I thought I was being yelled at! I t was also terribly depressing seeing all the children in orphanages. BUT, there were cultureal differences also. I'm pretty hard to insult or to upset these days, as I understand that everyone comes from a different place in the way they were brought up, their nature and their culture. We have a special needs daughter, whom we adopted , who can be just plain wacky at times....plus he doesn't look like me...so I'm always questioned about her. It doesn't bother me a bit, but this might bother others. Fanny...are you going to be at the clinic on Saturday morning the 8th? I will be in the morning.....surgery on the 11th..... Take care!
