Guest guest
, I think i've been doing this meal planner the long way, let me know... When I contacted stanford they told me to divide the serving size on the nutritional label into 100 then multiply that number with the stated pro/carb/fat and then enter those numbers using the per 100. Is this an extra step? That's the way i've been doing it the whole time. amanda -- -mom to Stella, 5years old, started keto diet May 10th 2004 still waiting to be seizure free. Guest guest
Yeah, the spreadsheet does that step for you. Just enter the serving size in the PER column, then the values for THAT serving size. The values in those last 3 columns will automatically be calculated. You should always only enter values in the first 4 columns. Never touch those last 3 columns. Keep in mind that it's always best to contact the company and get the true value for 100 grams. Since pro/fat/carb values are only rounded to the nearest gram, these values can be way off if the size is small. For example, if one serving has 1 g carb, how do we know if that is really .5g or 1.4 g? If you get the true value for 100 grams, then your values will be more accurate. Of course, Bill is right in pointing out that it's all just an approximation anyway, especially when dealing with fruits/veggies, as the " real " numbers certainly must vary widely. - P.S. I hope Portland is treating you well. Maybe I'll run in to you at one of the natural food stores. Re: DAVID , I think i've been doing this meal planner the long way, let me know...
