Guest guest
For those of you using Stanford Mealplanner, I was wondering, when you input data in the food values section, do you use the number 100 in the per section then follow your food label for the protein, fat and carbs. ex. Goldfish crackers I put in 100 in per then 2 prot, 6 fat and 19 carbs. This is the way I have always done it and I wonder if I was doing it wrong? started back on the keto last Sat at home. He is 47.5 pounds and 35 inches tall, seven years old. His calories are 1290 and protein is 26 g. He is on the 2:1 ratio because that is where he left off at the end of the diet with 98% control. He only had breaksthorughs with illness or sneaking food in mass quantities. He is still having the morning seizures every day. He will cluster with 4-10 head drops in the am. He gets 3 meals and 3 snacks. His meals are 333 calories and he gets 6.67 g protein/ 30.3 g fat and 8.5 g carb. The rest is divided into snacks. We are not having as good as control as before and I am wondering if any of you see any red flags in this calculation or the mealplanner. He is ambulatory with low tone. I would not say highly active physically but active. It takes him more effort to be active. Any thoughts? Thanks
Guest guest
Thanks so much. The scary thing is that we have been using this for a long time. He was on the diet for 2 years and I did my own menus for about 18 mos. I feel like an idiot but atleast I know and can fix it. Guest guest
Oh my gosh. No, you need to put in the serving size (in grams) in the " per " column. The spreadsheet will then calculate the correct values for 100 grams. I have some goldfish crackers right here. I'm not sure why the numbers are different than yours, but in this case, the serving size is 21 grams, so I'd enter: PER: 21 PRO: 3 FAT: 4 CARB: 14 The spreadsheet will calculate this out to roughly 14 protein, 19 fat, 66 carbs. has probably been getting 4 times too many goldfish crackers! This is really great news for you, as it means you have an immediate change that will probably really improve your chances for success. The bad news is that might be surprised at how few crackers he's going to get. - meal planner questions/calories For those of you using Stanford Mealplanner, I was wondering, when you input data in the food values section, do you use the number 100 in the per section then follow your food label for the protein, fat and carbs. ex. Guest guest
, You will have to spend some time on tuning the diet; calories and ratio. The calories seem high and the ratio low. All the best, Bill lloydandleslie@... wrote: > For those of you using Stanford Mealplanner, I was wondering, when you input > data in the food values section, do you use the number 100 in the per > section then follow your food label for the protein, fat and carbs. ex.
