Guest guest
Magnesium was one thing I was looking into with at one point when I was pulling my hair out (as we do..) way back when after one of his periods of losing daytime seizure control, so that's how I knew about the blood/tissue test anomaly thing. It's depakote/epilim that we are weaning, benzos were all gone a while ago, (I just get on my soapbox in posts about them whenever I hear of anyone else starting or weaning them ..) and hopefully there won't be any more for us - in this lifetime at least And yes, it is going smoothly thanks, 200 mgs down, 300 mgs to go. Slowed it down now that his carnitine levels are starting to normalise again, as that was the main reason for weaning it. 's 8th birthday is coming up in a few days, so we all intend to make the most of this one, heck of a contrast to last yr at this time when he was in a coma - thank God...will hopefully post a party pic in the files section next week some time ----- Original Message ----- From: gretchen_kissock You were also right about Mg levels being difficult to moniter with blood tests. How do you know so much? Thanks for the input. I take it 's clonipin wean is progressing smoothly? gretchen
