And yes, seperating the benzos in particular from keto meals was a must with , it was so obvious he couldn't cope with both together - and that was proven straight away when we changed the timing. The drop attack he used to have like clockwork 60-90 mins after his keto lunch and lunchtime diaz disappeared the very first day we altered it, so no guess work needed there We seperated lamictal from meal times too when he was still on it, topomax is the only AED we have ever got away with giving at the same time, dunno why he can cope with that one and not the others, but he has that with breakfast and dinner every night. Still gotta wonder about that 3 med cocktail with Stella, esp when a benzo is included, when did you last try reducing? And her blood gases are in ok range with having diamox on board with keto? What about growth? Has she been gaining height proportionate to weight? The hosp in Portland Oregon is where a lot of glucose fine-tuning diet wise is done, any chance of sneaking in a consult with the dietician while you are there? ----- Original Message ----- From: and Stansfield-lyons , could you send me the glucose literature you have, I was just on the matthews friends site and saw you had some info on that. We are still tweaking stella's diet and with all seizures she has, I have to start somewhere. We are heading down to Portland OR for thanksgiving so a little reading material would be great for the drive. Great tip too, giving the benzo seperate from the keto meal, we always give her meds at the same time so they don't cause any tummy upset. thanks amanda -- -mom to Stella, 5years old, started keto diet May 10th 2004 still waiting to be seizure free. Also on Lamictal, epam and Diamox. Anisa is almost 10 and a happy healthy girl. "
