Guest guest
Hi all, I just wanted to let you know that I am in CT/NY with Bill as he was in NY hospital and they decided that he has mono. He got out of the hospital yesterday and I have taken him to my sister's in CT. to recoup. He is pretty sick with fever, headache, congestion, swollen glands. At least while he was in the hospital he had a MRCP and ultrasound. I'll check my emails when possible, in the meantime I hope those of you registering for the conference will also think about registering for our Virtual Walk fundraiser. I will send out your kits as soon as I return to FL. We absolutely must find a treatment for this disease. , hang in there. I will add my prayers for this donor to be a go. If you and can make Denver that would be wonderful, if not you will be missed. Take care everyone, Lee mother of Bill 24 UC/PSC 06/04 Jpouch 06/

Guest guest
Dear Lee, Even at a time of Bill needing your care you find the time to still remind us that we need to help find a cure for this dreaded disease. You are a very special person and most important a very special mom. I am praying that Bill can recover from this soon. I am sure having you there will make things better. To those of you reading this, please remember that helping to find a cure or even a treatment falls on those of us that are some way touched by PSC. Participating in the Virtual Walk is just one easy way to help make a difference. Please try to participate…the satisfaction of doing just a little something is so rewarding. Together in the fight, Whatever it takes!!! Guest guest
Lee, I am sorry to hear of Bill's mono. Hopefully it will be a smooth recovery for him. When I get home I will send the check/form for the virtual walk, it looks like we may be getting home in a few days. Guest guest
Hi Lee, I'm so sorry to hear that Bill has mono, but I'm glad that he out of the hospital and resting at your sister's house in CT. I'm sure that he is happy that you are there with him. He's so lucky to have you as his mom!!! I'm sending heartfelt good wishes his way. I'm thinking of both of you. Guest guest
Bill has my sympathy and my prayers. As bad as PSC can be, I think mono is one of the worst things in the world. I came down with mono last summer, and I'm still feeling the effects today. I think a big thing in all of this is attitude. You MUST keep fighting the good fight, and even though it's painful and exhausting, you can beat this. In my case, the painkillers they gave me caused an arterial bleed in my colon. I spent a week in ICU, complete with a 9-unit transfusion. Still, I'm not letting this beat me, even though it would be very easy to give up. I'd also suggest at least a mild exercise program...it did wonders to get me back on my feet. Just lying around the house feeling sorry for myself was completely ineffective, and I didn't start feeling better until I got myself moving. Just a couple thoughts...again, I understand what he is going through, and Bill is in my prayers.
