Hiya Jen,

Welcome to the group. Congratulations on deciding to get healthy!

Sounds like you've been doing well so far!

I'm Autumn, 36, married, with one little 4-legged girl named Mandy, a

displaced Yankee living in Montgomery, AL. I started with the group in

August at 236 lbs. I got down to 205 in late October, but haven't been

doing well since (I've also been trying to kick the smoking habit since

Thanksgiving). This Friday is *go* time-I will weigh in again and start

over.

You'll find tons of great people in the group who are full of wonderful

ideas and support. Read some back posts if you have time. Gena just

posted a lot of great articles about 2 days ago, which she reposts

periodically.

Again, welcome, and hope to read more from you soon!

Autumn :)

Hi everyone!

My name is Jen and I am seriously wanting to change my eating and

exercise habits so that I can be healthy (and look good, lol). I am

doing this out of concern for my health (family tendencies include

Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, thyroid problems) and I'm also

looking for a hobby.

Right now I'm 5'4 " and 169 lbs, down from 182 lbs in September. Over

the holidays I kind of slacked off since I wasn't in school (and

readily available to a fitness center) and my office and family

gatherings were bombarded with food. To be honest, I did pretty well

and only gained 2 lbs during my " hiatus. "

Anyway, I'm wanting to make a change for the better and actually

stick with it. I'm challenging myself for my own good, and I

definitely need all the help I can get.

That's my story. Thanks!

Jen
