Guest guest
: I have been thinking about Stella and I am hoping that everything with the surgery went well. I know the first couple of weeks after the surgery are critical since the wounds have to heal and she might have some pain. My daughter actually had to take antibiotics after the surgery since she was scratching her wound and doctors felt that she might get an infection. The best thing is keep the wounds covered for as long as you can. An infection can be pretty serious as they might have to re-do the surgery. Please call me if you have any questions re:VNS. I know the VNS is a pretty drastic measure, but I would still pick this option than any of the medicines out there. I have had a terrible time with all the side effects of medications and seizures getting worse. I have had no issues with the VNS so I am grateful for this option. Infact Ria's became very alert & more present after the surgery. You are a great mother & I know Stella is going to be fine because of your hard work and persistence. Hang in there and let me know how everything went, when you get a chance. Guest guest
, I hope all went well with the surgery. Do keep us posted on Stella's progress. I'm specially interested to hear of your experiences as we are still waiting VNS surgery for my son Rohan. They have been talking about it for nearly 1 1/2 yrs and finally put him on a waiting list in June. Apparently he's is due in for it next March. Things move so slowly in the NHS ( in the UK) Hope the VNS is a great success for Stella. Saro
