Guest guest
After a cup of coffee in the AM - which I still allow myself - I get the shakes like I am having a blood sugar crash! Is there an antidote??? You could try switching to decaff in Seattle...
Guest guest
Wow! Can someone tell me why I might have developed a serious sensitivity to caffein? After a cup of coffee in the AM - which I still allow myself - I get the shakes like I am having a blood sugar crash! Is there an antidote??? TIA

Guest guest
> > You could try switching to decaff > I did this early on the first time I did induction and it was the best thing I did. Decaf coffee tastes no different to me. It is more expensive but it is worth it. I think it is a great way to get the extra fat needed too. I have a coffee with lots of double cream and it is like having a treat of a big cream cake but of course still legal. Guest guest
I have the same thing and had to give it up. I've gotten so sensitive that decaf gives me the jitters LOL. There is no antidote of which I am aware. Beth in TX wrote: < sensitivity to caffein? Guest guest
My husband gets the same rush. He drank caffeine for years, & a few months ago went off of it completely. Now, when he has a cup or anything with caffeine in it, he's wired for sound! I think it almost makes him feel like he's gonna jump out of his skin God bless! Guest guest
Yes! I love it. I fix me & my husband a big pot every evening of decaf & he has his flavored creamer, & I have my cream & we just relax with it. It helps me not to snack so much in the evenings, & helped me through induction too. I also drink tea, just with splenda in the morning & after lunch (being careful to still keep up my water). I get the berry & flavored teas, cinnamon, orange, etc. <<>> God bless! Guest guest
Oh, dRaT! Figures, don't it? Thanks for telling me. I just now checked these & they say 0 carbs, so hopefully they're alright. I really do love 'em. << Be careful of the flavored etas...they have carbs too.>>> God bless! lowcountry@...~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Help us to rememberThat the key to life and livingIs to make each prayer aprayer of thanksAnd every day "Thanksgiving."(Helen Steiner Rice) I will praise the name of Godwith a song, and will magnifyhim with thanksgiving.Psalm 69: 30 KJV
Guest guest
I'll have to look for that tea, Ellie. It sounds great. I've probaby even seen it & didn't think a thing about it. I love trying new teas. I just recently tried a 'Dieter's Tea' by Natrol?, but it really tore my stomach up I finally quit, but I think it may have been helping, it certainly was cleaning my system - LOL. I've been putting a little cream in an diet A & W rootbeer soda for a little while now. I love it too. Reminds me of a rootbeer float so I drink it when I'm craving something sweet. Kinda nostalgic for me too I used to love Dr Pepper, I'll have to try that. Don't they make a caffeine free DDP. It's been so long since I drank it I don't know... God bless!
